Hollywood turned out to walk the Green Carpet Saturday at the Warner Brothers lot to honor the most eco-friendly productions on the big and small screens.
Jason Ritter (NBC's The Event) and Olivia Munn (Comedy Central's The Daily Show) hosted the 20th Annual Environmental Media Awards, which featured appearances by Rosario Dawson, Wendie Malick, Jane Leeves, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Eva Mendes and Amy Poehler.
CNN founder and philanthropist Ted Turner received the EMA Lifetime Achievement Award for his commitment to conservation and human rights.
Turner was introduced by actress and activist Jane Fonda, who called him her "favorite ex-husband."
The EMAs were founded to highlight and honor organizations and productions that promote environmental responsibility and sustainability.
And, well, TakePart should brag for a minute. Because the big boss here at TakePart HQ was also honored with this year's Corporate Responsibility Award. Participant Media founder Jeff Skoll (Participant is our parent company) was introduced by actress Natalie Portman, who highlighted Jeff's commitment to a variety of environmental causes over the years.
But, the boss seemed to be in a joking mood, and turned the tables on Portman, by playing a clip from her past in which the audience got to see an 11-year-old Natalie sing, dance, and rap about reducing, reusing, and recycling.
